Our client need an interim Finance Manager with extensive local government experience focused on preparation of financial statements, knowledge of capital accounting and liaison with external audit. The contract is for 6 months initially, starting in January, and is fully remote although you must be based in the UK. The rate is £600 a day outside ir35. The Role: To effectively lead and manage a finance team that undertakes preparation and production of the annual financial statements, whole government accounts and statutory returns. To coordinate key accounting functions in respect of the production of the annual financial statements, whole government accounts and liaison with external auditors. To provide expert advice and support to finance colleagues, to other managers within the organisation and to elected members.
