National Critical Care Nurse Team Manager

Home based with travel up to 10,000 miles per annum & occasional overnight stays

Basic salary of up to £42,000 + OTE 15% bonus

The role…

This is an outstanding opportunity for a qualified nurse and talented people manager to play a key role within our growing complex care business.

In this newly created role, you will take ownership of our nursing support within Complex Care by effectively leading, managing, motivating and inspiring a growing team of Critical Care Nurses across the UK. You'll work closely with our Head of Complex Care Operations, to drive the growth of the business and ensure we deliver to our customer's high expectations. You will take a lead in promoting the Newcross brand to prospective clients and healthcare professionals and ensure a timely and quality driven assessment of new referrals and ongoing reviews of highly clinical complex packages.

Key tasks will include:

  • Managing your own caseload of work whilst also effectively and fairly allocating cases to the Critical Care Nurse team.
  • Manage the overall performance of your team to ensure high quality outcomes are delivered on time and within budget, supporting, developing and coaching your team as well as recognising both individual and team achievements.
  • Build strong working relationships with colleagues and support teams across the whole of Newcross, in particular Clinical training and education teams to ensure training delivery meets

requirements.

What you'll bring…

To be successful in this role you will need to be a qualified Nurse (Band 6 or above) experienced within complex care or managing a clinical caseload and broader and specialist nursing qualifications/ experience would be also be desirable. You will need an up to date understanding of the NMC codes of practice and continual professional development. Strong people management skills are absolutely essential with a proven experience of managing remote teams and effectively addressing clinical performance issues.

You will need to have strong organisational skills and be IT literate with the ability to pick up new systems quickly and work with ease across different IT platforms.
