Remote Working Cloud Monitoring Engineer required.

Our award winning Middlesex based client seeks an experienced Cloud Monitoring Engineer.

This role requires experience in the following areas:

Monitoring Tools - Systems Administration (Windows and or Linux) - Automation - Cloud Technologies (AWS/GCP/Azure)

· Minimum of 5 years working in a production cloud or large enterprise IT environment supporting the required technologies.

· Role would suit an experience system administrator with a background in scripting or similar roles.

Technical Skills

· System administration skills in one of the following operations systems:

o Linux (Ubuntu preferably but any enterprise distribution will be considered)

o Windows Server (2016 preferred but other versions will be considered)

· Operational experience in supporting one or more of the following middleware products:

o Weblogic Server or Microsoft IIS web server

o Oracle Database or Microsoft SQL server

o Nginx web server or Apache/OHS web server

o Docker

o Kubernetes

· Operational experience in supporting one or more of the following monitoring tools:

o Quest Foglight

o Dynatrace (with the One Agent)

o Prometheus

o Nagios/Op5/ZenOSS/Other Nagios derived system.

o Oracle Enterprise Manager

· Operational experience in supporting one or more of the following non-structural data management tools:

o ELK

o Splunk

o Fluentd

· Scripting experience in one or more of the following languages

o Terraform

o Powershell

o Bash

o Ansible

· Exposure to one or more of the following data description languages:

o JSON

o YAML

· Exposure to one or more of the following CI/CD tool sets

o Jenkins

o Gitlab

o Azure pipelines

· Operational Experience of the Azure cloud platform

Qualifications

· A formal qualification (degree, HND, etc.) in Computer Science/Information Technology would be useful though not mandatory.

· ITIL qualifications, at foundation or higher levels, would be useful but are not mandatory.

· Microsoft Azure or Window Server MCP certifications would be useful but are not mandatory

Candidates must have excellent communication skills and be eligible to live and work in the UK without any restrictions.
