Business Development Director – Digital Agency (Mostly-Remote)
Reading Base / Part Remote £40,000 – £50,000 Base (uncapped OTE £70,000 – £80,000) + Benefits Package
We are looking for a Business Development Director to join our experienced, fast paced digital agency that will generate sales for website projects, web apps and mobile app development.
Our flexible approach to working will provide an opportunity for the successful candidate to work from home whilst also spending some time, now and again, in our offices near Reading. The candidate should therefore ideally live within a 2 hour commute of J11 of the M4.
Although this role needs someone who thrives on new business, it is not a cold calling, telesales role. We are looking for a consultative sales individual who can convert warm leads into confirmed new business and pipeline for the future.
+ Developing and converting incoming new business across a range of sectors
+ Selling our full portfolio of services
+ Building and developing long lasting relationships with clients
+ Putting together proposals for web development and software projects
+ Leading presentations and pitching for business
+ Face to face (or video) meetings with prospective clients
+ Establish a strategy for opening opportunities with new or lapsed clients
+ Maximising revenue and delivering to agreed targets
+ Proven track record of consistent success within a previous software / web agency
+ A high performer with a documented record of sales success winning pitches worth £50k+
+ An understand of the latest web development technologies and trends in this sector
+ Excellent written skills and an honest and direct communicator
+ Experience in generating monthly recurring revenues through pro-actively identifying, nurturing and closing qualified new business sales campaigns
+ An interest and understanding of the SaaS industry
+ Highly ambitious and focused on long term success
+ A passion for web technologies that colleagues and clients can feel when they work with you
+ An ability to work as a team and contributes to the success and ethos of the team and company
The ideal candidate will have new business sales experience working within an agency environment coupled with the passion and desire to succeed.You will be a natural at consultative selling and hold a deep understanding of the events market, ideally gained from working within an agency environment; however candidates from other backgrounds will also be considered.

+ A Basic salary ranging from £40k to £50k and there is an uncapped OTE of £70k to £80k.
