My client is a market leader in industrial sensor technology for factory and logistics automation. They are looking to expand their offering with additional "project engineers" to support their existing customer base. You will be joining the projects team who deals with onsite pre/post sales and project support - e. g. installation, commissioning for the companies products.
Acquiring and maintaining knowledge of company products and supply support for these products
Carrying out onsite preventative maintenance, support, repair and breakdown visits as a primary function.
Conducting basic project management tasks as directed by the Manager -
Carrying out all aspects of system installation, commissioning and support considered reasonable by the Manager
Helping with the scheduling of preventative maintenance visits and ensuring that all pre-work documentation is completed prior to customer maintenance or breakdown visit
Ensuring that all post visit Reports, e. g. for installation, commissioning, preventative maintenance, breakdowns, are completed to the required standard
Liaising with component suppliers and build up 3rd party knowledge
Providing technical, application and trial support and carry out demonstrations primarily on FA/LA products (telephone and site based) to customers and the Sales Team
Where required, assisting the Sales Teams in selling the product range to achieve sales and to meet sales target levels
Preparing and conducting, as required, training for customers and employees
Reporting to the and / or to the Sales Manager any potential business (product and / or services) identified within the execution of the above tasksRole Requirements
minimum of BTEC in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or similar
self motivated and a strategic thinker with a will to get the job done
experience in customer project work
experience in PLC and controls
general IT network communication
experience in Auto Ident or Vision applications in the UK (preferred, but not essential)
be comfortable working in a customer environment
be able to work on their own as well as part of a team
have a good basic technical background and skills
have a hands-on approach
have a good understanding of general IT equipment including general PC skills
have a full UK driving licenseBenefits
£30,000-£35,000 in basic salary
up to £500 per month car allowance
up to 30% annual performance based bonus
