Where you come in:

Reporting to the Technical Director, we are currently recruiting for a strong scientific mind to analyse thrust and performance data for class and vessel performance validation.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

+ Ensure that appropriate and valid data is gathered to perform meaningful analysis
+ Analyse thrust and performance data, both at the test site and on pilot vessels to prepare for class validation of thrust and later validation of vessel performance
+ Document results of analysis in a complete, clear and meaningful way
+ Assist in development of thrust verification tools in real time using pressure sensor and/or load measurement data
+ Assist in development of performance modelling and effects of Anemoi systems
+ Provide data and make recommendations to optimize rotor and control system design and operation parameters to maximise fuel savings

About You:

+ Master’s degree or PhD in Naval Architecture, Aeronautical Engineering, Physics or a relevant discipline covering fluid mechanics
+ Strong theoretical background in aero/hydrodynamic principles
+ Experience of aerodynamic and hydrodynamic data analysis
+ Experience of programming data analysis software e.g. Matlab
+ Either fresh graduate with some work experience as part of their degree, or graduate with 1-2 years’ experience
+ Experience using and interpreting CFD would be advantageous
+ Research experience
