Job Description

Skilled PHP Developer is wanted for a world-class Digital Agency in Glasgow (opportunity for 100% remote too). They work with a modern tech stack, world renowned brands and have a busy pipeline of projects.

They're well-established (they've been going for a decade) and have a very loyal customer base; more than 50% of their current clients have been with them for over five years - a real testament to the quality of their work.

You'll be working with an array of different clients and with varying needs; from helping a brand-new start-up with their first website to helping with a large-scale migration for a massive blue-chip company. Each few weeks in the role should be a change of pace and scenery, it's definitely somewhere that would keep you interested and on your toes.

They are ideally looking for a couple of skilled PHP Developers with several years of commercial experience behind them and ideally with good exposure to multiple frameworks (Laravel, Zend, Symfony etc). You'll be in regular contact with multiple key clients / stakeholders so it's imperative you feel comfortable delivering / presenting / explaining your technical decisions and finished product to other like-minded technologists and of course non-techies.

You should ideally have;
** Several years of programming experience with PHP & MySQL
** Experience with at least one PHP Framework (bonus points for Laravel)
** Working knowledge of front-end tools (HTML, CSS & JavaScript)

Experience with the following is highly desirable;
** AWS
** DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Git)
** Modern JavaScript Libraries (ReactJS, Angular or VueJS).

This opportunity would suit a Developer looking for a more hands on role, where they are keen to stick with projects throughout their entire lifecycle and contribute to code that's actively published.

The company are based in central Glasgow but are also offering the opportunity for fully remote working even after everything returns to normal. In addition to a very flexible working schedule, a competitive salary (£30k - £50k) with benefits on top and plenty of scope for career progression is up for grabs too.
