This permanent position involves reporting to the Project Engineering Lead and functional Line Manager, collaborating closely with the Systems Design Authority within a multi-disciplinary team. The role encompasses working across Technology Readiness Levels, enhancing existing products, managing obsolescence, and providing support for developers, design reviews, and customer meetings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Systems Design Authority and multi-disciplinary teams
- Enhance existing products and manage obsolescence
- Support developers, design reviews, and customer meetings
- Work across Technology Readiness Levels
- Conduct trade-off analyses to inform design decisions
- Participate in the entire development lifecycle, including design, integration, verification, validation, and qualification
Job Requirements:
- Significant experience in systems engineering within the defence and security sector
- Strong appreciation for designing complex products
- Knowledge of electronics, mechanical, and software integration
- Proven experience across the entire development lifecycle
- Expertise in conducting trade-off analyses
- Flexibility for remote work with occasional on-site responsibilities and international travel
