I'm recruiting for a business in Gloucester who are looking for an Embedded Android Developer on a contract basis. The work involves developing an android application on custom hardware involving video pipeline/streaming. ROLE: Embedded Android Developer LOCATION: Remote (some travel to Gloucester/Hampshire) RATE: up to 60ph DURATION: 6 months IR35: Outside Skills required for the Embedded Android Engineer are: Embedded Android expertise on non-phone hardware (this is i.MX8 but any similar processors considered) Experience designing media/video applications on Android Proficiency and knowledge of hardware/software interface Working with minimal supervision The following are beneficial: ATAK, iTAK, WinTAK or similar SC clearance ( not essential ) Embedded Linux Video streaming protocols REMOTE: The majority of the work can be done remotely with frequent travel to sites in Gloucester and Hampshire required.
