Our client are seeking an experienced Design Engineer (Security Systems) to deliver end-to-end electrical and security design solutions across UK Electrical and Gas Transmission sites. You ll manage designs from concept through to commissioning and handover ensuring full compliance with legislation, technical standards, and client specifications. Key Responsibilities Conduct detailed site surveys for Transmission sites. Develop concept and detailed design packages for both Electrical (LV & ELV) and Security Systems. Prepare RFI/TQ documentation and manage Design Change Control processes. Produce drawings, block diagrams, SLDs, schematics, and schedules in AutoCAD and Amtech. Support HAZID/HAZCON/Design Assurance reviews, promoting hazard mitigation in design. Collaborate closely with Design, Construction, and Project Management teams. Mentor and support junior engineers.
