Teaching Assistant SEN Supply (Flexible Working)

Primary Schools Colchester

We are currently seeking dedicated and reliable Teaching Assistants to join our supply team, supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) across schools in Colchester and the surrounding areas.

This is a flexible role, ideal for candidates looking for day-to-day supply, short-term cover, or long-term placements, working around their availability.

The Role

As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support pupils with SEN on a 1:1 basis or in small groups

  • Assist pupils with learning, engagement, emotional regulation, and behaviour support

  • Work flexibly across mainstream and SEN settings

  • Support classroom teachers with daily activities and routines

  • Adapt quickly to different school environments and pupil needs

We re Looking For Someone Who:
  • Has experience supporting children with SEN (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs)

  • Is patient, nurturing, and adaptable

  • Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff quickly

  • Is confident following school routines and behaviour policies

  • Is happy working across different schools and year groups
