Are you an expert educator with a knack for making English language mechanics click? We are looking for a high calibre Online English Tutor to provide targeted, 1:1 support for a student currently navigating their Level 2 Functional Skills journey and transitioning toward GCSEs.
The Opportunity
This isn't just "extra help" it s a structured intervention designed to build a student's confidence in learning.
- The Goal: Support a student currently working at Functional Skills Level 2 (Writing) to reach their target by August.
- The Progression: Once achieved, you will lead their transition and preparation for GCSE English.
- The Focus: You will provide expert guidance on descriptive writing techniques, structural cohesion and sophisticated paragraphing.
What We re Looking For
- Qualified Professionals: QTS/PGCE is desirable or significant experience in 1:1 tuition.
- Subject Specialists: Strong knowledge of the Functional Skills Level 2 framework and GCSE English specifications.
- Adaptability: The ability to pivot teaching styles to meet the student s specific learning and needs.
- Compliance: An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) is essential.
