An outstanding new role has arisen for an experienced Diploma qualified Paraplanner to join a newly established national IFA. Based in one of their offices in the South-East - Hybrid working
They now entering a rapid growth phase and expanding their paraplanning team. This is a rare opportunity to join at the early stages of a Private Equity-backed business, working closely with an experienced senior leadership team to deliver a best-in-class paraplanning function.
You will play a key role in supporting advisers and ensuring advice quality and consistency as they scale. Alongside this, you will gain exposure to complex planning cases, have clear opportunities for career progression and benefit from full support towards professional development, including advanced qualifications such as Chartered status
Key Responsibilities
- Formulation of advice by undertaking research and detailed analysis to reach conclusions
- Writing compliant, accurate and well-drafted advice via suitability reports and letters covering investments, pensions, inheritance tax, tax efficient investments, trusts and protection
- Working within and contributing to the paraplanning team and their processes
- Preparing cash flow planning forecasts
- Providing technical resource and research to adviser and management teams
- Working with administrators and advisers to achieve good client outcomes
- Working with compliance to continually improve procedures and ensure advice and client files meet FCA standards
- Keep up to date with legislative and industry changes that will affect the business and its clients
Skills and Experience
- Diploma in (Regulated) Financial Planning (or equivalent) qualified, or near completion
- Experience in paraplanning, or looking to take the next step into paraplanning
- Experience of working within a financial advice or wealth management environment
- Strong technical knowledge of pensions, investments, tax planning, and protection products
- Ability to produce accurate, compliant, and client-focused suitability reports
- Excellent understanding of FCA regulations and advice standards
- High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining technical accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex planning cases
- Effective communication skills
