Infinity Energy Services are a fast-growing renewable energy company specialising in the design and installation of commercial and residential solar PV systems. Our mission is to help businesses and homeowners transition to clean, sustainable energy solutions.

As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Solar PV Surveyor & Designer to join our technical team. This is a key role within the business, ensuring solar PV systems are accurately surveyed, well designed, and tailored to each customer's requirements.

This is a hybrid role offering plenty of variety. Your week will include office-based days focused on designing solar PV systems, alongside time on the road visiting customer properties to carry out site surveys.

We operate across Hampshire, Wiltshire, Somerset, Dorset, Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire, Berkshire and Sussex, and the successful candidate can be based anywhere within these regions.



Job Opportunity

Design solar PV systems for residential and commercial projects

Produce panel layouts, string designs, and system schematics

Conduct shading analysis, energy yield calculations, and system sizing

Ensure compliance with industry standards (MCS, G98/G99, DNO requirements)

Work closely with sales, engineering, and installation teams

Review site surveys and satellite imagery to optimise system design

Carry out site surveys for residential and commercial installations

Take measurements and assess roof suitability, cable routes, and equipment locations

Essential Skills

A minimum of 3 year's experience in solar PV design, surveying, or installation

Strong understanding of solar PV systems and electrical principles

Experience with solar design software (PVSol, OpenSolar or similar)

Comfortable carrying out roof and site assessments

Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Experience with commercial solar projects (desirable)

Knowledge of battery storage systems

Understanding of UK solar regulations and DNO processes

Full UK driving licence
