Residential Property Solicitor, Director Dudley / Brierley Hill, Hybrid, Leading Regional Firm

Job Description

Residential Property Solicitor / Director Dudley / Brierley Hill Hybrid Working Leading Regional Firm

Are you an experienced Residential Property Solicitor looking for a genuine step into leadership, where your role goes beyond simply managing a caseload?

This is an opportunity to join a large and established regional law firm in a senior position offering real influence over the continued development and growth of its Residential Property offering.

The Firm

A leading regional practice with a substantial presence throughout the West Midlands and surrounding areas, offering the infrastructure, client base and cross-referral opportunities of a sizeable full-service law firm.

The Residential Property department is well established and continues to grow, creating an opportunity for an experienced Solicitor to take on a senior role with genuine involvement in its future direction.

The Role

Based in the Dudley / Brierley Hill area with hybrid working available, you will work alongside the senior leadership team and take a broad role across people management, technical support, business development and departmental growth.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading, mentoring and developing Solicitors, Conveyancers, Paralegals and support staff
  • Contributing to the strategy, performance and continued growth of the Residential Property department
  • Developing existing relationships with estate agents, brokers, developers, introducers and other professional contacts
  • Identifying and building new sources of quality residential property work
  • Acting as a senior technical point of contact on complex or higher-risk matters

You may retain an appropriate portfolio of your own matters, but this is not a role centred around simply running a large caseload.

Your contribution will be much broader, with the opportunity to influence people, relationships, strategy and the future growth of the team.

You

You will be an experienced Residential Property Solicitor with strong technical knowledge and the credibility to operate at a senior level.

You should have:

  • Significant post-qualification experience within Residential Property
  • Previous experience supervising, managing or mentoring other legal professionals
  • Strong relationships with referrers and introducers, or a proven ability to develop them
  • Good commercial awareness and an understanding of what makes a successful Residential Property practice
  • The confidence to contribute to business development and departmental strategy

Perhaps you're already operating at Director level, or you're an experienced senior Residential Property Solicitor who feels ready for a role offering considerably more influence and responsibility.

If you've reached the point where simply running another caseload isn't enough, this offers the opportunity to have a genuine say in how a successful Residential Property department develops.

Benefits

  • Hybrid and flexible working
  • Annual profit share
  • 28 days' annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Your birthday off
  • Competitive salary reviewed annually

Would you like a Residential Property role where your experience can influence the direction of the department rather than simply the files on your desk?
